Position: Teaching Assistant (1:1)

Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30-3:30)

Duration: April 2024

Location: Blackburn

Contract: Temporary, opportunity to go permanent in the future

Daily Rate: £12.83 - £13.40

Teaching personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of our partnership school based in the heart of Blackburn. The school is easily accessible by public transport and has good parking facilities. It is a large primary school with over 300 pupils that is focused on providing the best opportunities for all pupils.

The position:

The school are looking for an LSA to join the KS2 department, you will be working in the Year 5 classroom supporting generally and also working on a 1:1 basis with a young boy. The pupil you will be assisting 1:1 require support with social, emotional, and mental health related issues. He requires help with concentration and can sometimes present challenging behaviour.

Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach for this position will be essential.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 months supporting children professionally or supporting behaviour in adults
  • Child only Enhanced DBS (Registered with the update service)
  • Education workforce council subscription
  • References covering a period of 24 months
  • Dedication and passion for supporting children will be vital

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
