Learning Mentor
Join a vibrant secondary school in South Manchester seeking to appoint a Learning Mentor on a full-time basis from Easter until the end of the academic year.
The successful candidate will support individual students across years 7 – 11 on a one-to-one basis promoting a positive attitude towards learning, school attendance, engagement and attitude to learning.
Responsibilities of the role will involve:
- Working one-to-one with students with Special Educational Needs including social, emotional mental health and behavioural needs.
- Support pupils with their learning and liaise with teaching staff and department to meet individual academic needs.
- Work alongside the pastoral team to ensure vulnerable students fulfil their potential.
- Responding to the needs of pupils and identifying the additional support that is required.
- Attend relevant meetings when required.
We are looking for an individual who has experience working with young people in an educational or relevant setting. We also welcome applications from Graduates who are considering a career in teaching and wish to gain experience in a secondary school setting.
This secondary school is located in South Manchester, just a short drive from the city centre and easily accessible by public transport links.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
