LEA's Tutors - Oldham - immediate start

Job description

Local Authorities (LEA's) based in Oldham are currently seeking to appoint an out-reach Teacher who can travel to various locations in the Oldham area working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who are being educated outside of Mainstream Education. Each referral is usually around 10 hours per week and you can take on as many or as little as you wish. If you are looking to take on a number of referrals it would be ideal for you have to access to car and a full licence, however this is not a necessity.

The pupils who require tuition may be being educated outside of Mainstream for a variety of reasons. These reasons may include: Special Needs (SEN), exclusion and extreme challenging behaviour, teenage pregnancy and LAC pupils. Due to the nature of the needs of these pupils Tutors will ideally need experience working with pupils of this nature.

If you are considering applying for these roles you should have:

- The ability to build effective working relationships with pupils and parents and carers

- A commitment to supporting all pupils in reaching their full potential

- A knowledge of how to deliver sessions in Maths and English (up to GCSE)
