Are you looking for a new challenge from September 2019? Do you feel like you have the right attitude and commitment to make a difference in a school? Then you may be in luck! A large client school in the Blackburn area are currently working alongside Teaching Personnel in order to appoint a temporary member of staff for the full academic year. The SENCO in school is the main contact and the brief she has given us is as follows…
Level 2 or above qualified teaching assistant
Recent experience working alongside low level KS2 children
Experience working alongside children on a 1:1 and grouped basis in an education setting
Hard working and committed to supporting children with a variety of learning needs
Academic background with a good command of written and spoken language
A team player - someone who can get on with the staff across the school and work as part of a fun and hard working team
The school is located pretty much in the heart of Darwen and the majority of children who arrive tend to be from a mixture of social backgrounds. The school is larger than average and with this, their Pupil Premium Funding and the SEN funding they receive; the school has a number of support staff employed through Teaching Personnel who are constantly reviewed and continued in their roles from term to term. This role will be exactly the same. The funding for the child will come through the local authority and be reviewed on a termly basis. With this, you will be given sufficient notice if the funding is stopped. If the funding does stop, there are always other children requiring support in school and the SENCO has said they would be able to offer further work.
If you are interested in the role specified above then please do not hesitate to contact me in the office.
