Language Specialist Teacher - Primary

Teaching Personnel is looking for a HLTA/Teacher to work as a temporary member of staff (1 year fixed contract) within an established and popular Primary school in South Sheffield. We are looking for a speaker of either Spanish or French to work on a full time basis.

The role:

Deliver tailored teaching activities to pupils on either a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Make sure that the pupils you support are able to engage in learning and stay on task during the lesson or activity. Support the social and emotional development of pupils, reporting any issues when required. You will be expected to plan your own language sessions, but all other planning with already be in place.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading small groups of pupils or whole classes
• Establish relationships with other professionals or agencies to support work of pupils
• Attending staff meetings and contributing to the development of the school
• Assisting teachers in offering guidance to support staff
• Preparing and developing resources for learning activities
• Reporting on the progress made by pupils

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualifications: HLTA or QTS status
• Experience: 1+ year of post-graduate experience as a Teacher in the UK.
• Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK.
• Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 30 hours p/w.
