Job description

A Primary school in south Manchester, Wythenshawe is looking for a year 3 teacher to begin work at the start of the next academic year on a full time basis. The school is a 3 form entry Primary school so the role will be to work within one of their year 3 classes.

This large Roman Catholic Primary school is currently going under a new leadership change for September. Recently receiving the grading "good" in their latest Ofsted report earlier this calendar year the school continues to impress. Being such a large 3 form entry Primary school has its benefits for the staff. Due to this all the planning of lessons will be shared with the other 2 year 3 teachers meaning a shared work load. The school boasts excellent behaviour in every year group from EYFS - Year 6. Catholic ethos is very important to the school so a catholic teacher or someone who is familiar with the catholic ethos is highly sought after. However the school has stated that the quality of teaching prevails above all else and encourages everyone to apply.

The year 3 class will be of a mixed ability so it is important that the teacher is able to differentiate effectively in order to maximise the learning and progression for all pupils. Someone who is experienced within lower key stage 2 is ideal as the school is looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running.
