KS2 Teaching Assistant

Job Duties:
The KS2 Teaching Assistant is responsible for providing support to the primary school teacher in delivering educational activities to Key Stage 2 pupils. Duties include assisting with lesson preparation, classroom management, and individual pupil support. The Teaching Assistant may also help with assessment and feedback, as well as maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Basic understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications
Experience:
Prior experience in a classroom setting or working with children is preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with educational best practises
- Excellent organisational skills
- Patience and empathy towards students
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
Working Conditions:
The KS2 Teaching Assistant will work in a classroom environment within a primary school. The role may involve standing for extended periods, assisting pupils with physical tasks, and occasional outdoor activities. The position requires adherence to school policies and procedures, as well as collaboration with the teaching staff and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
