Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a local primary setting in Exeter on a part-time, temporary basis.
About the Role:
As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working with pupils across Years 3 to 6, providing essential classroom and individual support to help them thrive. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to make a real difference in the lives of upper primary pupils.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons

Providing 1:1 and small group support in core subjects like English and Maths
-
Helping pupils stay on task and manage their workload effectively
-
Assisting with behaviour management and promoting positive classroom behaviour

Encouraging independence and resilience in learning

Supporting pupils with additional learning needs, under the guidance of the SENCO
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for candidates who are:

Passionate about education and child development
-
Confident in supporting KS2 learners academically and emotionally
-
Proactive, patient, and adaptable in a busy classroom environment
-
Comfortable using their initiative and working as part of a team
-
Ideally experienced in a primary or KS2 setting (although not essential)
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or similar) is desirable but not required. You must have (or be willing to obtain) a DBS check registered on the update service.
Pay & Benefits:

Daily rate: £90 - £100 per day (based on experience and qualifications)

Contract: Temporary, part-time (term-time only)

Potential for long-term or permanent placement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
