Transitioning is not always possible, therefore the school need to be able to fully support pupils with their educational journey.
The class is made up of between 8-11 pupils with some pupils are showing signs of undiagnosed speech and language needs and specific learning difficulties. The current Teacher has put into place a solid routine for the pupils to adhere to which they have taken to very well.
This class has two very strong teaching assistants that are confident using team - teach as a method of both verbal and physical de-escalation. The ideal Teacher will also be team - teach trained, Teaching Personnel run courses every half term and therefore can train the Teacher if needed.
Challenging and confrontational behaviours are common therefore the school require a strong willed Teacher who can provide a flexible and differentiated approach to the curriculum. It would also be beneficial for the Teacher to have awareness of special educational needs and be aware of early stages of diagnosis.
