Fully Qualified Science Teacher

The School:

The school specifically focuses on delivering a high standard of teaching, where the aim is to inspire children to be confident model citizens of society and spark a desire for continuous learning. Furthermore, the school believes that home life plays an important part in the upbringing of a child and therefore aim is to create a strong link between the classroom and home. All students are given every opportunity to; succeed, develop character and cultivate a love for learning. Teachers and Teaching Assistants regularly benefit from bespoke training sessions; enabling lessons to be both fun and engaging.

The Role:

In this role you will be comfortable teaching chemistry at KS2 and KS3 level to a class of around 15 to 20 pupils or less. Class levels are kept relatively small so that you will be able to assist pupils who do not pick up the work as quickly as others without compromising the overall teaching in the class. As you will only be teaching chemistry, throughout the day you will have ample opportunity to: complete marketing, plan and prepare materials for the following class and also maintain cleanliness of the classroom. The ideal candidate will be someone who will have had previous experience teaching within a faith school and observes to all policies set in place.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
