Blackburn school seeking KS2 Classroom Teacher

Are you on the lookout for a new position to start in September?

A large, two-form entry school, based on the outskirts of Blackburn town centre, are looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher from September up until Christmas on a full-time basis. The catchment for the school consists mainly of children from socially deprived backgrounds; consequently support from the pupil premium is much higher than the national average. Pupil behaviour is good and they demonstrate responsible attitudes towards their learning.

We are seeking to recruit an inspiring and engaging educational professional, who aspires to make a difference in the lives of young children. Both newly and fully qualified teachers are welcome to apply for the role. Recent experience in Key Stage 2 is essential, with a good knowledge of the curriculum and the year group expectations. The school follows Lancashire's key learning statements for planning and assessing. High expectations and knowledge of engaging behaviour management strategies are required, with the role commencing at the beginning of the academic year, when rules and routines will need to be implemented.

The Head Teacher, who is highly supportive and is eager to welcome a new member of staff into their team, will be the main point of contact for the job. They have requested that the successful candidate presents the following:

  • Newly or fully qualified teacher
  • Recent experience working alongside children in Key Stage 2
  • Good knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Excellent behavioural management skills
  • Hard working and able to hit the ground running

If you think you have the qualities, experience and qualifications specified, then please contact Teaching Personnel Lancashire.
