Chorley Temp to Perm

Main Pay Scale 

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Class Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Chorley. This temp‑to‑perm role begins in September 2026 and offers a fantastic opportunity for a committed teacher looking to make a long‑term impact within a supportive school community.

About the Role

As a KS2 Class Teacher, you will deliver high‑quality teaching and learning to pupils across Key Stage 2. You will plan engaging lessons, assess progress effectively, and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive. The school is committed to maintaining high standards and supporting staff with strong leadership and ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess well‑structured lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum

  • Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment

  • Track pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents

  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold school values

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
