KS1 Teaching Assistant - Feltham, Hounslow - full time - September 2020 - GBP65 to GBP90 per day

Are you experienced working within EYFS and KS1 settings? Looking for a full time role starting in September 2020? Teaching Personnel work with a number of schools across the Hounslow borough, providing both short and long term staff. 

We are currently recruiting for a full time year 2 teaching assistant to work within a primary school in Feltham, Hounslow. This role will have an immediate start, working alongside other highly experienced early years pracitioners/teachers to provide a high standard of care. 

The role?

This full time position will involve working within a large KS1 department, you will be heavily involved in the maintenance of their student's development reports, including working with the SENCO. As the class primarily works on a free flow basis you will be required to conduct group based activities, working on topics such as phonics, letters and sounds and shapes. A huge part of the role will be working with students of all abilities including those with special educational needs - providing specialised support. You will have to provide feedback to parents, carers and other members of staff especially for parents evening updates. 

A huge part of working within the KS1 department is help with SATs preparation, you must be confident providing specialised support on the run up to the SATs exams.

One of their main priorities is to create a positive learning environment, helping all staff and students develop. With a recent change in their senior leadership team they have seen lots of positive changes occur among staff and results. 

The school has seen positive changes across their results and development reports, particularly across KS1 and KS2 phonics/SATs results. 

Ideal candidate?

- Experienced working with students in early years/KS1 settings

- Confident supporting students with special educational needs

- Experienced working with phonics and KS1 SATs

- Confident running intervention and group support
