KS1 Teacher

Location:

Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS18

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary:

£125 - £160 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for Key Stage 1 children
  • Assess and record pupils' progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues
  • Create a positive learning environment that promotes pupil participation and active learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
  • Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience teaching in Key Stage 1

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Effective classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience using interactive teaching methods and technology

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting with classrooms and shared workspaces
  • Interact with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis
  • Follow school policies and procedures regarding health and safety

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
