KS1 Teacher – Barnsley | Full-Time | Immediate or September 2025 Start

Are you a passionate and committed KS1 Teacher ready to make a positive impact in a Barnsley primary school? We’re working with a number of welcoming and supportive schools across the area seeking qualified teachers for Key Stage 1 roles, with both immediate starts and September placements available.


Location: Barnsley

Role: Key Stage 1 (Year 1 or Year 2) Class Teacher

Start Date: ASAP or September 2025

⏰ Contract: Full-time | Long-term and Temp-to-Perm Options


What You'll Do:

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and school leaders

✅ What You’ll Need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in a KS1 classroom (Year 1 or Year 2)
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and phonics (e.g., Read Write Inc., Letters and Sounds)
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
