Are you a caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Beaminster?
We are working with a welcoming school that is looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 team from October/November 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting children on an individual basis and is passionate about helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and learning skills.
The Role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil within KS1.
- Support the pupil with their learning, engagement and development.
- Work closely with the class teacher and wider support team.
- Help create a positive, inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
- Adapt activities and provide appropriate support to meet individual needs.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
- Build a strong and trusting relationship with the pupil.
- Contribute to the wider classroom and school community when required.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally:
- Have previous experience working with children in an educational or similar setting.
- Have experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis, although this is not essential.
- Be patient, compassionate and consistent in their approach.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be confident working as part of a wider school team.
- Be enthusiastic about supporting children's academic, social and emotional development.
- Be reliable, proactive and committed to making a positive difference.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
