Teaching Assistant – SEN Hub | Weymouth

We are currently working with a welcoming and supportive school in Weymouth who are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their SEN Hub. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs and helping them reach their full potential.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant within the SEN Hub, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support with their learning, development and wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis
- Helping pupils access the curriculum and engage positively with learning
- Supporting children with a range of SEN needs
- Working closely with class teachers, SEN staff and the wider school team
- Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills
- Providing a calm, positive and nurturing presence throughout the school day
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who are:
- Experienced working with children or young people
- Passionate about supporting pupils with SEN
- Patient, caring and understanding
- Confident working on a one-to-one and small-group basis
- Reliable and able to build positive relationships with pupils
- A strong team player with a proactive approach
- Looking for either a permanent role or flexible supply work
Previous experience within an SEN setting would be advantageous, although we would also be interested in hearing from candidates with relevant transferable experience.
