Teaching Assistant – KS2
Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Weymouth?
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a welcoming school in Weymouth who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 2. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys helping children develop academically, socially and emotionally and wants to make a genuine difference in the classroom.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team, providing additional support to pupils and helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
The Role
- Supporting pupils across KS2 with their learning and development
- Working alongside the class teacher to deliver effective classroom support
- Providing additional help to pupils who may require extra encouragement or guidance
- Supporting children with their confidence, engagement and independence
- Assisting with classroom activities and day-to-day routines
- Promoting positive behaviour and a safe, supportive learning environment
- Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about working with children
- Patient, approachable and encouraging
- Reliable, professional and adaptable
- Confident working as part of a school team
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Experienced in a school or education setting, or keen to develop a career in education
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is welcomed but not essential where you have relevant experience and the right attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
