Teaching Personnel is recruiting a knowledgeable and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistant to support a specialist educational provision in Poole.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to an environment where every learner is encouraged to achieve their potential through tailored support, encouragement and consistency.
We are specifically seeking individuals with previous SEN experience who can quickly become a valuable member of the team.
The Position
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teaching staff to provide high-quality educational and pastoral support to pupils with a variety of additional needs.
- Supporting learners during lessons and structured activities
- Encouraging engagement and participation across the curriculum
- Helping pupils regulate emotions and manage challenges positively
- Promoting communication, independence and social interaction
- Assisting with behaviour support strategies and learning interventions
- Collaborating effectively with teachers and wider support teams
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who enjoys variety, thrives in specialist environments and can confidently adapt to changing situations.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, empathy and resilience
- The ability to build rapport quickly
- Confidence working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A proactive approach and ability to start with minimal supervision

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
