1:1 SEN TA required in Maidstone for September 2020

Your new School

This highly rated mainstream community primary school in Maidstone are looking for a long term dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join the enthusiastic team. The school provides a fantastic learning environment with a nurturing atmosphere to ensure every pupil can make great academic and social progression.

Your new role

You must be a friendly and welcoming professional who has previous roles supporting pupils with additional needs socially and emotionally. You will be working 1:1 with a child in Key Stage 2 who has Autism and learning difficulties. The role will be full time 5 days a week where you will work along-side the class teacher to support the additional needs pupil to progress academically and socially within the classroom setting. The main role for the SEN will be one-to-one support to encourage the pupil with SEN to interact in a respectable and appropriate manner.

What you'll need to succeed

You must hold at least a level 3 qualification in Childcare and ideally have past experience working with a pupil with autism in the past 2 years. You must have a passion to work with children with special requirements to help support their development and quality of learning in a calm and confident matter.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
