Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Key Stage 1)
Location: Accrington, Lancashire
Start Date: April 2024
Salary: £12.83 - £13.20 per hour
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant with experience in Key Stage 1 to join our dedicated team at a single form entry primary school in Accrington. This position is set to commence in April and offers a long-term role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general support in classrooms during morning sessions
- Work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in the afternoons
- Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs)
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate effectively with teachers and other support staff
- Contribute to the overall development and well-being of pupils
Requirements:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Previous experience working within Key Stage 1
- Proven ability to work effectively in both general and 1:1 settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of individualized learning needs and strategies
- Ability to adapt and contribute to a positive school culture
Working Hours:
- Mornings: General support in classrooms
- Afternoons: 1:1 support with a specific pupil
Pay Rate:
- £12.83 - £13.20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
