Key Stage 1 Teacher- Stockport- January 2019

Due to an upcoming planned absence, Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Key Stage 1 Teacher for an Ofsted graded GOOD Primary school in Stockport. This full time teaching position is scheduled to start from January 2019 and will be until the end of the academic year initially.

This vacancy represents an outstanding opportunity for a Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a school with a passionate Head teacher who has cultivated a strong team spirit amongst all the staff.

Specific job details-

- Main responsibility- to ensure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and the highest standards of care, learning and achievement for all pupils.

- Ofsted highlights;

  • 'The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school'.
  • 'In key stage 1, pupils make good progress from their varied starting points. A greater proportion of pupils are achieving the pass mark in the phonics screening check'.
  • 'The behaviour of the pupils is good with lessons calm and purposeful'.
  • 'Parents speak with pride about the education their children receive'.

-Pay in line with MSP/UPS (£22,917- £38,633).

The school-

The school a 4-11 mixed comprehensive that currently caters for over 250 children. The large majority of pupils are from White British backgrounds and the numbers who are eligible for the pupil premium funding is below average.

It is situated in Stockport but is very close to the border of Manchester. As a result, the areas of Levenshulme and Gorton are only a short drive away. There are also regular public transport links that stop very close to the school.
