Key Stage 1 Teacher – Lancaster

-          Year 1.

-          Full time.

-          Maternity cover.

An OFSTED rated ‘GOOD’ Primary School within the Lancaster area has requested the support of Teaching Personnel to appoint a Key Stage 1 Teacher to cover a maternity leave within a Year 1 Class. This role is to last until the end of the Academic year with the possibility of extending.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have an excellent understanding of the Lower KS1 curriculum and monitor the impact on pupil achievement.
  • Work alongside the special educational needs coordinator (SENCO) to ensure the curriculum meets the needs of all pupils, including disadvantaged pupils and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
  • Promote pupils’ spiritual, moral, social, cultural, physical, and mental development alongside British values.
  • High expectations for every child.
  • Commitment to participating in continuous professional development.
  • Work alongside specific subject leaders to understand how their subject is developed across KS1.
  • Develop positive relationships with staff, governors, parents, and children.
  • Plan effectively for support staff and monitor staff wellbeing.
  • Monitor the learning spaces within the classroom and updating resources throughout the year when appropriate.
  • Lead assemblies when appropriate.
  • You will have the drive, high standard and passion to enthuse our pupils and make a real difference to their outcomes and life chances.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
