Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEN)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (term-time only)
Start Date: After Easter Half-term
About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our supportive team at a Secondary Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Redhill. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, anxiety and communication needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students in and out of the classroom to access learning
- Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored educational activities
- Provide one-to-one or small group support as required
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Assist with personal care where necessary (training provided)
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred)
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
