Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Epsom, Surrey
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (term-time only)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time

About the Role
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school in Epsom with a dedicated SEN provision. This is an excellent opportunity to support students with additional needs within both the classroom and specialist settings, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs, both in class and within the SEN provision
  • Work 1:1 and with small groups to support learning, engagement, and progress
  • Assist the class teacher in adapting resources and lessons to meet individual needs
  • Support students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students and staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or similar setting preferred)
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people
  • Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
