Intervention Teacher - Wigan

Our client school located in Wigan wish to appoint teachers that are able to provide tailored intervention and tuition across the core subjects to pupils preparing for summer examinations.

This Roman Catholic secondary school wish to appoint a number of temporary intervention teachers who can support their pupils and assist them in achieving their expected grades.

• Part-time intervention teacher role - Core subject experience preferred
• Applicants must hold QTS and have experience delivering both KS3 and GCSE intervention previously
• Roman Catholic Secondary School located in Wigan
• Working with individual pupils on a 1:1 basis or providing group intervention
• Attractive rates of pay £19 - £24 per hour

Due to upcoming examinations this is an excellent opportunities to work within a high achieving Roman Catholic secondary school on a temporary basis for the remainder of the academic year. The Deputy Headteacher is seeking applications from candidates across the full core subject range (Maths, English and Science) to provide additional intervention sessions to pupils who aren't currently tracking to hit their target grades.

Within this role you will be provided with full support to identify gaps in pupils learning along with full resources to plan and deliver sessions around the pupils needs. The Heads of Departments will provide full support to staff members within this role and assist with tracking pupil progress following completed sessions.

This Catholic high school is a voluntary aided, 11-16, mixed comprehensive secondary school that falls under the trusteeship of the Archdiocese of Liverpool and is situated within the Wigan LEA. If travelling to the school via car then school is just a short drive away from the East Lancashire road, which ensures that it is easily accessible from the surrounding areas of St Helens, Warrington and Bolton. There are also direct public transport links from Wigan town centre.
