Are you a primary teacher with knowledge and experience delivering small group intervention to KS2 pupils?

  • Start date – January 2021
  • Location – Leeds, West Yorkshire
  • Pay rate - GBP30- 35 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Temporary contract (in line with the government tuition funding)
  • Availability (2-5 days per week)

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Primary Intervention Teacher to work in Primary Schools in Leeds in line with with the government catch-up funding and the National Tutoring Programme. 

The aim would be to ensure all pupils from Year 2 - Year 6 (depending on thre schools needs) reach the national expectations as well as gifted and talented pupils having the opportunity to excel in the 2021 SATs. You will need experience of planning focused lessons for specific individuals or groups of children. It is essential that you can use assessment to identify gaps and weaknesses in order to constantly challenge pupils.

The successful candidates will be enthusiastic about creating fun and engaging sessions for mixed ability pupils.

In order to apply for this role, you must have the following:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Be available to work as soon as the children return to school
  • Reference information for the last six years
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable daily
  • Able to complete online CPD and Safeguarding through Teaching Personnel 
  • Valid DBS (update service required)

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting children push their attainment to the next level
  • Being creative and using innovation to enhance the learning experience of all pupils
  • Assessing progress and maintaining discipline
  • Work with Primary Schools and Class Teachers collaboratively 
  • Writing up feedback on Intervention Sessions and recording pupil progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
