Individual Needs Assistant- Reception

A Primary School in Eastbourne are seeking an Individual Needs Assistant to work with a pupil in their Reception Class. The pupil you will be working with has SEMH and challenging behaviour, so a Team Teach qualification would be beneficial. You will be working in a Catholic school, therefore knowledge of the Catholic ethos is desirable; however this is not essential to the role. The school has recently been graded 'good' by Ofsted and has a good reputation in the community, they particularly focus on implementing creativity into learning and the wellbeing of the children is at the heart of everything they do.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience working 1:1 with children in EYFS/KS1
• The skills to successfully de-escalate and manage challenging behaviour
• Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH
• The ability to empathise with children's needs and emotions
• A pro-active attitude with a desire to help children to reach their full potential
