Job description

Role: Teaching Assistant 

Pay: £77-£85 per day

Location: Worthing 

At Teaching Personnel, we are seeking a friendly, professional Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support on a full-time basis within one of our partner Primary schools based in Worthing.This role is a great opportunity for a graduate, former teaching assistant, care or youth worker looking for more opportunities to support students. 

To be considered for the position of teaching assistant with Teaching Personnel, you will:

  • Be passionate about supporting children
  • Be patient, caring and engaging
  • Be enthusiastic about education
  • Be supportive and helpful
  • Hold a Child DBS on the update service (Teaching Personnel can help with this) 

Duties will include:

  • Class room support and providing 1:1 and/or small group support (when required)
  • Assisting pupils with their educational devlopement.
  • Boosting self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Being a positive role model for students
  • Supporting inside and outside the classroom
  • Safeguarding pupils and protecting their well-being

Details of the role:

  • Full time role Monday-Friday term time only 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Working across year groups 
  • Competitive salary from £11.85 per hour
  • Weekly pay via PAYE
  • FREE CPD training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
