Inclusion Support Worker (SEN) Huddersfield

A 'GOOD' special school in Huddersfield have recently contacted the agency to secure an Inclusion Support Worker from February half term. The successful candidate will be required on a full time basis (Mon-Fri 8:30am-3:30pm) until July 2020.
The School
Our client is part of a National Academy Trust, situated in Scissett (HD8) and is easily accessible by car and public transport. The school require a Support Worker who is confident in supporting young people with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. It is important that you have previous experience supporting young people with additional needs and a sound understanding of implementing Education, Health and Care Plans.
The school provides a tailored curriculum for pupils aged 8-16, and achieved GOOD status in a recent Ofsted inspection (April 2019). The successful applicant will be joining a committed and supportive team who continue to strive for excellence.
The Role
The school are seeking an Inclusion Support Worker who will:
- Work closely with class teachers and support staff to provide excellent levels of support for pupils
- Develop strong working relationships with both pupils and colleagues
- Have a caring and nurturing demeanour that will best provide for students
- Liaise with parents/carers and a team of key staff including Education Psychologists to deliver a holistic programme of intervention for pupils
- Offer meaningful learning opportunities which foster independence, resilience, social communication, emotional regulation and the development of life skills
