Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a specialist education provider for an experienced ICT Technician to join a dedicated team supporting young people with additional needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and proactive IT professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting colleagues and ensuring technology enhances teaching and learning.
The role is available for a September 2026 start, with flexibility for an earlier commencement if suitable.
What You'll Be Doing
As the ICT Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining reliable and secure IT services across the setting.
You'll provide first-line and second-line technical support, resolve hardware and software issues, prepare devices for staff and pupils, and ensure systems remain operational with minimal disruption.
You'll also assist with network maintenance, user account management, software installations, equipment upgrades and troubleshooting, while supporting staff with day-to-day technical queries.
Working closely with the wider team, you'll help ensure technology remains an effective tool for learning and communication.
This is a varied role that requires someone who is organised, resourceful and able to prioritise tasks efficiently.
What We're Looking For
We are searching for an experienced ICT professional who can step confidently into the role and make an immediate contribution. Previous experience supporting IT systems within education or a similarly busy environment would be highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Experience maintaining hardware, software and network infrastructure.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A positive attitude and commitment to delivering an excellent support service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
