Our client secondary school is looking to recruit an ICT teacher for an open teaching vacancy in the new academic year. The successful ICT teacher would be required on a full time basis to fulfil an open vacancy at this secondary school securing a school based contract after a term on supply. This would be exercising a temporary to permanent option giving the appointed ICT teacher the chance to trial the school over an extended period of the Autumn term. Upon successful completion of this 'probation period', the ICT teacher would be transitioned onto a school based contract.

The successful ICT teacher will be teaching KS3 and KS4 ICT and must have experience of teaching at the higher GCSE level.

Highlights of this ICT teaching position:

  • Full time ICT teacher required, starting at the beginning of the new academic year in September
  • Pay will be dependent upon payscale but between £23,720 - £39406 (MPS1 - UPS3)
  • Teach within a highly supportive Computing department, gaining the opportunity to network and work alongside a committed team of professionals
  • Opportunity to progress and secure a school based contract following 1 term on a supply basis

The school has an ethos of honesty, pride and student centred teaching which is at the heart of all teaching and student's learning. The school are therefore looking for a teacher who is an excellent classroom practitioner and puts the students' learning at the centre of all their teaching. Innovative and engaging lessons are the key to success at this school with the ICT department having the latest state of the art technology at the disposal of the successful ICT teacher. The ICT suite is made up of whiteboards in all classrooms and numerous computing classrooms with a full suite of computers.

The school is situated in the South of Manchester, easily accessible via the M60 ring road. For those teachers on public transport, the school has excellent transport links with the Metrolink tram being nearby as well as many regular buses running from the city centre of Manchester and Stockport. The school also has a large on site car park for the use of all teachers.
