ICT Teacher 

Location: Handsworth

Start Date: September 2025

Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) 


 

About the role: 

Do you have a passion for technology and a talent for bringing digital concepts to life? We are working with a progressive secondary school in Handsworth that is seeking a creative and forward-thinking ICT Teacher to join their team. This is your chance to inspire the next generation of tech-savvy problem solvers and innovators, in a school that values creativity, curiosity and cutting-edge learning.

Role Responsibilites: 

Deliver engaging and practical ICT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential KS5 opportunities).

Teach a range of topics, including coding, digital literacy, systems and emerging technologies.

Create a learning environment where students feel confident experimenting with new tech and ideas.

Prepare students for GCSE (and potentially A-Level) exams with innovative teaching strategies.

Encourage students to think critically about the role of technology in the modern world.

Contribute to the wider school community through tech clubs, coding competitions or digital projects.

Role Requirements: 

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

A degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related subject.

Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for technology and innovation.

Ability to deliver lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and challenging for all learners.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

A collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Have a DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtian one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
