ICT Teacher

Location: Walsall 

Start Date: September 2025 

Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)


 

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable ICT Teacher to join a secondary school in the Walsall area. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ digital skills, problem-solving abilities and understanding of computing and information technology.

The successful candidate will be confident in delivering the ICT curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4 and will play a key role in preparing students for an increasingly digital world.

Role Responsibilites: 

  • Plan and deliver high-quality ICT lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Teach a range of ICT and computing topics including digital literacy, coding and data handling

  • Support students in developing key skills for assessments and future learning

  • Monitor progress and provide targeted support and feedback

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement in the classroom

  • Contribute to departmental planning and school-wide ICT initiatives

Role Requirements: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge in ICT and computing

  • Experience teaching ICT at secondary level, including KS3 and KS4

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A passion for digital learning and a commitment to student success

  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices
