ICT Secondary SEMH Teacher

Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated ICT Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative ICT lessons to students aged 9-16. This role requires someone with experience in secondary teaching, a strong background in ICT, and preferably, prior experience working with SEMH students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality ICT lessons that inspire and motivate SEMH students to develop digital literacy skills and proficiency in ICT tools and applications.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore and apply ICT concepts and technologies.
  • Differentiate teaching and learning activities to meet the diverse needs and abilities of SEMH students, including those with varying levels of digital competency.
  • Incorporate real-life contexts and practical projects into ICT lessons to enhance relevance and engagement for SEMH students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications in ICT or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching ICT at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of ICT curriculum requirements and proficiency in ICT tools and applications.
  • Experience working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs is highly desirable.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the individual needs of SEMH students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Commitment to promoting safeguarding and ensuring the well-being of all students in accordance with school policies and procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
