£100 - £150 per day

Job description

Our client secondary school in the Central Manchester area is looking for a Humanities teacher to join them after the Easter break. The school is looking for a qualified Humanities teacher who can teach History primarily but may have some experience of teaching Geography and RE. The current teacher is reluctantly having to leave this outstanding school as a result of relocating due to their family circumstances.

The successful Humanities teacher will be teaching up to KS4, GCSE level and some Geography up to KS3 as mentioned. Regardless of experience, the Head of Humanities is encouraging all applications from qualified Humanities teachers or Historians.

"We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner who is looking to work in an outstanding school where our students are not only engaged in their learning but enjoy being at school. Our Humanities department is a supportive one to work in with all staff contributing to the success of our school. We are looking for a teacher who can make the subject enjoyable and is willing to 'get stuck in' and become a part of the team.

Applications are encouraged from NQTs and more experienced teachers"

- Head of Humanities

Highlights of this Humanities teaching position:

  • Pay up to £150 per day depending on experience and payscale
  • Outstanding school in the central Manchester area
  • Full time Humanities teaching position, starting Monday 16th April
  • Work within a highly supportive department

This secondary school is located in the central Manchester area, only a 20 minute bus journey from the central Piccadilly Gardens area. For those who drive, given the location of the school - it is also fairly accessible, missing the busy city centre roads.

If you are a Humanities teacher that is available from 16th April or just after, given the flexibility, then apply now with your latest CV. As per the Head of Department, applications and highly encouraged from all teachers regardless of experience.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
