**Higher Learning Teaching Assistant**
**Newport**
**£60-£70 a day**
**To start ASAP**
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a HLTA for the Newport area to work closely with the SENCO and Headteacher to raise standards of attainment for groups of pupils. Part of your role will be to work with identified children to raise self-esteem, improve learning behaviours and develop aspirations to improve attainment.
The successful candidate will need to be/have:
- An excellent practitioner who is passionate about supporting children;
- Able to form positive relationships with the whole school community and work closely with the SENCO and Headteacher;
- Experience of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs;
- Committed to support children in removing barriers to learning;
- Practical and positive in their approach to dealing with behaviour;
- Supportive of the belief that every child can and will succeed;
- Hardworking, proactive/self-motivated, positive and flexible;
- High expectations of yourself and the children you work with;
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills;
- Resilient;
- A commitment to safeguarding children.
