HLTA

To apply for this position you must have a HLTA qualification.

Teaching Personnel is pleased to present a great opportunity for a HLTA to start at one of our partner Primary Schools in Newham on a full-time basis. The position will start after September and the school also has on-site parking. The school is based in the site of an old farm and orchard providing a large site with many areas for children to learn, play and investigate.

The school was rated Ofsted 'Good with Outstanding Leadership' at its most recent inspection (Nov 2017), its first inspection since joining with a local school to become an academy in 2015.The School has gone from strength to strength over the last three years and was even recognised by the Mayor of London as a 'School for Success'.

The school aims to equip their students with the skills and confidence to tackle anything in life.

Pupils study a wide range of subjects with a focus on allowing both academic and personal development. The school has good links across the different subjects of the curriculum which is supported by enrichment activities including a variety of educational visits.

There is a positive energy and learning ethos around the school and you will be joining a team of enthusiastic children, inspirational teachers and support staff and supportive parents. Pupils are happy, polite and respectful of each other. There is some challenging behaviour across the school but this is well supported by the team of teaching assistants and effective behaviour policies. Personal development is strong at the school with high-quality training a key priority.

If this sounds like the right environment for you, the school are hoping to interview on a rolling basis from next week. The shortlisting criteria include:

  • HLTA qualification
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Confident with behaviour management
  • Commitment to personal development (and a goal of working towards becoming a teacher would be a bonus!)
