Teaching Personnel are working with an oversubscribed, Good school (Ofsted 2017) serving the Waterlooville and surrounding area with over 1200 students on roll.

They have an ambitious ethos based on high expectations for all. Pupils leave the school proud of their academic achievements, and staff in return lead careers with high job satisfaction. The belief in their own success and ability to succeed continues beyond the school with many of its pupils continuing not just to further education - but into their desired career path.

This is a busy and dynamic school with a strong focus on developing the whole child. The school have vibrant departments to enthuse education to all of its pupils no matter their strengths and areas of interests. Alongside our curriculum, the school offer a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities including local trips and residential trips abroad, visits from inspirational alumni and rewards trips for students with exceptional areas of behaviour and progress.

In 2018, 83% of students achieved 4+ in English and Maths. The school continues to perform well in comparison to other local schools. As a stand alone school, they are extremely proud of their excellent reputation and committed staff within.

The History department has a significant track record of being a very successful department and each year proves to be a popular subject at GCSE. The department follows the AQA exam board course at GCSE level. Teaching within the department benefits from a strong team of specialist teachers who have all contributed to the department's fully developed schemes of work that provide teaching guidelines for all years. On average, at KS4, just under half of all pupils choose to study History.

  • Have recent UK teaching experience
  • Be familiar with the AQA History curriculum
  • Have QTS or be an overseas trained teacher with UK experience
  • Have innovative ideas to being to the department
