History Teacher Waterlooville

Teaching Personnel are working with an oversubscribed, Good school (Ofsted 2017) serving the Waterlooville and surrounding area with over 1200 students on roll.

They have an ambitious ethos based on high expectations for all. Pupils leave the school proud of their academic achievements, and staff in return lead careers with high job satisfaction. This is a busy and dynamic school with a strong focus on developing the whole child. The school have vibrant departments to enthuse education to all of its pupils no matter their strengths and areas of interests. The History department has a significant track record of being a very successful department and each year proves to be a popular subject at GCSE. The department follows the AQA exam board course at GCSE level. Teaching within the department benefits from a strong team of specialist teachers who have all contributed to the department's fully developed schemes of work that provide teaching guidelines for all years. On average, at KS4, just under half of all pupils choose to study History.
