Job Title: History Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire

Are you an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History teacher who is ready to make a lasting impact in the classroom? We are seeking a passionate and committed individual to join one of our vibrant secondary schools in Gloucester, teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

You’ll be part of a dynamic and supportive team that values creativity, academic excellence, and inclusive teaching. This is an exciting opportunity to help young learners connect with the past and develop the critical thinking skills they need to succeed in the future.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for History at KS3 and KS4

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and achievement

  • Monitor, assess, and provide timely feedback to support student progress

  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour through effective management strategies

  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and school initiatives

  • Participate actively in school life, including meetings, CPD, and extracurricular activities


What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4

  • Ability to deliver high-quality lessons and manage a classroom confidently

  • Commitment to inclusive practice and helping every student reach their full potential

  • A collaborative team player who contributes positively to the school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
