Job description

Are you enthusiastic about bringing the past to life for young learners? A dynamic secondary school in Bolton is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable History Teacher to join their Humanities faculty from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach in a supportive school community that values innovation and high-quality teaching.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering engaging History lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Inspiring a love of learning and helping students explore significant historical events and themes

  • Working closely with the Humanities department to create a stimulating curriculum

  • Tracking student progress and supporting learners of all abilities

  • Playing an active role in school life, including clubs, trips, and parent engagement

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with UK QTS

  • Someone with excellent subject knowledge and a creative approach to teaching History

  • A confident communicator with strong classroom management skills

  • A team player who is committed to student success

  • Suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to grow their careers
