Experienced HLTA Wanted – Alternative Provision Centre (Runcorn)
Are you a dedicated and experienced HLTA looking for a rewarding new challenge?
An alternative provision centre in the Runcorn area is seeking a passionate individual to join their team, supporting students who have faced challenges in mainstream education—some of whom have been permanently excluded.
This centre is committed to transforming the life outcomes of its pupils, placing education and personal development at the heart of everything they do. Catering for Key Stage 3 and 4 students, the team works hard to re-engage learners by creating a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.
Students are offered a broad and practical curriculum, including hair and beauty, mechanics, and carpentry, giving them valuable skills and a fresh sense of purpose.
Role Details:

Position: HLTA / Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)

Location: Specialist Provision, Runcorn

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–3:00pm (Term-Time Only)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Pay: Competitive rates
The school was recently rated GOOD by Ofsted, who noted:

An HLTA with experience supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Someone confident in managing challenging behaviour sensitively and effectively.

A team player who is passionate about helping students re-engage with education and achieve their goals.

A positive role model who can inspire, motivate, and guide learners in small class settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
