Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – South Liverpool 
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Long-term with potential for permanent placement
Location: Mainstream Secondary Schools, South Liverpool
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join our partner mainstream secondary schools across South Liverpool from September 2025. These are long-term opportunities with the potential to become permanent placements for the right candidates.

About the Role:
You will play a key role in supporting teachers and pupils in a classroom setting, delivering planned lessons, and providing targeted academic support. This is an ideal opportunity for experienced HLTAs looking to take the next step in their career in a dynamic and supportive secondary school environment.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role

  • Recent experience supporting learning in secondary education

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
