Behaviour Mentor – Secondary Schools – Liverpool (Start: September 2025)
Location: Liverpool | Start Date: September 2025 | Salary: Competitive | Full-Time

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people?
Teaching Personnel is currently seeking dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentors to join a number of supportive secondary schools across Liverpool from September 2025.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting students with behavioural challenges, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. You’ll work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and parents to support students both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students presenting behavioural and emotional difficulties.

  • Develop and implement behaviour strategies tailored to individual needs.

  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students to encourage engagement and progress.

  • Support teaching staff in maintaining a positive classroom environment.

  • Act as a role model and mentor to promote self-regulation, confidence, and respect.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Relevant experience working with young people, ideally in an educational, youth work, or support setting.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.

  • Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to managing behaviour.

  • A genuine interest in education and supporting student development.

  • A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
