Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a a two form entry primary school located in the North Leeds Area. This would be a full time role starting in mid September. This "GOOD" graded school prides itself on providing the ideal environment where children can enjoy their learning.
They have strong core values which are embedded in staff and pupils. As a HLTA you will be required to support pupils 1-1 and in small groups out of main class learning, you will be required to support the class teacher with lesson preparation and whole class learning, you may also be asked to cover full lessons when main class teachers are conducting the PPA time.
If you have experience as a teaching assistant and are looking to take the next step in your career or if you are a newly qualified teacher but aren't looking for a permanent teaching position just yet then this could be the ideal role for you.
To be considered for this position you must:
- Have recent relevant experience working in a Primary School or working with children (at least 6 month experience)
- Be confident in leading pre-planned whole class lessons
- Be willing to provide individual and whole class support as requested
- Be available on a full time basis for the full academic year
- Already have or be happy to apply for an enhanced DBS disclosure on the Update Service
- Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- Your CV must have at least 6 years employment history/education included and any employment/education breaks must be explained.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
