Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Job description
Higher Level Teaching Assistant – SEMH Focus
Are you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and autism spectrum conditions (ASC)?
Do you have the experience, confidence, and creativity to help pupils thrive in a specialist setting? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a secondary school in Devizes, starting in September 2025, with the potential for an earlier start.
Empower Students in a Supportive Specialist Setting
This specialist school offers a structured, nurturing environment for pupils aged 7 to 16 with complex SEMH needs and ASC.
Staff are highly valued for their dedication and commitment to building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, many of whom have faced previous challenges in mainstream education.
The school focuses on holistic development—academic, emotional, and social—with a strong emphasis on individual learning pathways.
Working here means you’ll be part of a community that believes in the power of patience, understanding, and consistent support. You will play a key role in shaping young lives and helping learners rediscover their confidence, often for the first time.
