Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – PPA Cover
Location: Blackpool
Start Date: After October Half Term
Contract: Full Time
A warm, welcoming and supportive primary school in Blackpool is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team after the October half term.
This rewarding role will focus primarily on PPA cover, providing high-quality teaching and learning across a range of year groups. The school is looking for a confident HLTA with strong curriculum knowledge who can step into the classroom, deliver engaging lessons, and maintain a positive learning environment while teachers undertake their planning, preparation and assessment time.

Key Duties Include:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 during PPA time.
- Managing whole-class learning independently and confidently.
- Supporting pupils of all abilities to access the curriculum and make progress.
- Adapting teaching approaches to meet the needs of individual learners, including those with SEND.
- Working closely with class teachers to ensure continuity of learning.
- Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining high expectations throughout the school.
- Supporting intervention groups where required.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold HLTA status or have significant experience working at HLTA level.
- Possess strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- Be confident delivering lessons across a range of year groups.
- Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Be adaptable, proactive and committed to supporting pupil achievement.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional approach to working as part of a school team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
