About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking experienced and qualified HLTAs to support a variety of primary and secondary schools across Cambridgeshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a more senior classroom role, delivering learning, managing groups, and contributing to the wider school environment.

A recognised HLTA qualification is essential. Candidates without the HLTA qualification will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons under the guidance of the class teacher

• Provide cover for short-term teacher absence where needed

• Support the development of learning for individuals or groups, including those with additional needs

• Assist with assessment, feedback, and pupil progress tracking

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy

• Support and mentor Teaching Assistants and less experienced staff

• Contribute to the development of the wider school curriculum and enrichment activities

Requirements

• HLTA qualification (essential)

• Proven experience in a classroom or educational setting

• Strong organisational and leadership skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Flexible, proactive, and positive approach to working in schools

• Commitment to safeguarding and supporting all pupils
