Guaranteed Work Scheme – How It Works

Our Guaranteed Work Scheme provides income security by ensuring you are paid even when work is not immediately available.

Key details:

  • Commit to being available for a set number of days each week

  • If suitable work cannot be found (while most schools are open), you will receive 100% of your daily pay minus one day

Example: Commit to 5 days per week → if no work is secured, you will still receive pay equivalent to 4 days.

About the Role

Teaching Personnel Cambridge is seeking dedicated and experienced Primary Teachers to support schools across Cambridge and the wider Cambridgeshire area, starting immediately.

We are looking for teachers who have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A minimum of two years’ UK primary teaching experience

  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality, inclusive education

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum

  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress in line with school and national expectations

  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, including teaching assistants, SENCOs, and senior leaders

  • Contribute to wider school activities and events where appropriate

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Minimum two years’ UK primary teaching experience

  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks

  • Experience supporting pupils with diverse learning needs

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills

  • Willingness to travel within Cambridgeshire (own transport desirable)

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
