Guaranteed Work Scheme – Key Information

Our Guaranteed Work Scheme provides consistency and income security for teachers who want reassurance that they will be paid even when work is unavailable.

How the scheme works:

  • You agree to be available for a set number of days per week.

  • If suitable work cannot be found (and the majority of schools are open), you will receive 100% of your daily pay rate, minus one day.

    • Example: If you commit to 5 days per week and no work is secured, you will be paid for 4 days guaranteed.


About the Role

Teaching Personnel Cambridge is recruiting dedicated and experienced Primary Teachers to work across schools in Cambridgeshire from January 2026. We are seeking teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a minimum of two years’ UK primary teaching experience, who are committed to delivering high-quality education within inclusive environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, well-planned lessons across the primary curriculum.

  • Differentiate teaching to support pupils with a range of abilities, including those with SEND.

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress in line with school and national expectations.

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports learning.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, including teaching assistants, SENCOs, and senior leaders.

  • Participate in wider school life, including events and extracurricular activities.


Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.

  • Minimum of two years’ experience teaching in a UK primary setting.

  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.

  • Proven ability to support pupils with diverse learning needs.

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.

  • Willingness to travel within Cambridgeshire (own transport desirable).

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
